LOCAL UNION 117 PICNIC
AND FIFTH ANNUAL CAR SHOW

September 11, 2010
11:00 am - 5:00 pm

If you plan on attending, please RSVP by telephone to the Hall on or before September 3, 2010!

IBEW Local 117 would like to invite its members and their families to the picnic being held at the Local Union
Office at 765 Munshaw Lane in Crystal Lake, Illinois.  There will be food and beverages served, the food will be out
at 1:00 pm.  We will be combining the picnic with our Fifth Annual Local 117 Car Show.   If you have a car that
you would like to show off, please bring it to the picnic.

We look forward to seeing all of you there!

Brother Steven Kaminski passed away on April 20, 2010 after a long battle with various health problems at the age of 55.

He will be waked at the Hitzman Funeral Home, 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, Illinois on April 28, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gerhard J. Witthuhn
August 7, 1924 ~ March 16, 2010

 

Funeral services for Mr. Gerhard J. Witthuhn, 85, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 19, at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin.  Burial with honors will follow in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.  Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 18, 2010 and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Friday (March 19), at the funeral chapel.

Gerhard was born August 7, 1924, in Berlin, Germany, the son of Ernest and Antoinette Witthuhn, he passed away March 16, 2010.  Gerhard was a veteran, and served in the Marine Corps during World War II.  He was an electrician, and had worked for Nohl Electric many years prior to his retirement.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin and the Local IBEW 117 for 60+ years.  Survivors include his wife, Ingeborg (Rohwedel) of Elgin; children, John (Karen) Witthuhn of Elgin and Susan Horton of Elgin; and grandchildren, Bradley Horton and Douglas Horton, both of Elgin.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
